There are differences between laser printer and ink cartridges. The kind of printer you have determines which cartridge you’ll buy. A laser printer doesn’t use ink, even when some people refer to its cartridge as ink toner cartridges. It uses an electrically charged powder which fuses with the surface of paper. That’s why laser printed documents don’t smudge. Laser printers and toner cartridges cost more compared to inkjet printers and inkjet cartridges, but the former saves money in the long run. This is true, especially when you need many documents to print rapidly. Laser printers can rapidly print hundreds of pages and are compatible with any paper. Inkjet printers and their inkjet cartridges are more affordable upfront, and if you don’t need quantity rapid printing, their quality is more than enough. You may want to investigate alternatives to buying ink and toner cartridges that bear the printer manufacturer’s brand, as these can be expensive over time. One alternative is to buy remanufactured cartridges.
