There’s a still-going issue about whether to use OEM cartridges or compatible printer ink cartridges. OEM cartridges are those that share the brand of your printer, and these cost a lot. Naturally, manufacturers claim OEM brings you better printouts and will not cause any malfunction in your printer. Compatible ink cartridges are mostly refilled and generic ones. But these are much more affordable than their OEM counterparts. So which is better to use? Should you use OEM or compatible cartridges? According to one study, compatible printer ink cartridges are not only more affordable, they also produce more printed pages compared to their branded competition.
